I forgot to add something important. The activities offered by Livingston Hills are super entertaining. Blue grass, Country music among others are vivid giving a dynamic feeling to the environment. The art program encourages artistic innovation and it is open to experts and new in this field. Bingo, cards 21 and so on are a social invitation to meet new people. I did not get bored st all. Definitely, I had the opportunity to put my college art background into practice. What a fantastic experience. I, personally, do not dwell in the negatives. My plan when I was admitted in the Livingston Hills rehabilitation Center was to heal from my fractured pelvis and I got it. Thank you, my gorgeous physical therapy team, for your skillfull and humanitarian help to get well. Thank you, Marisol, Martha, Chris and rest of the staff for being so dedicated to help the clients. I have no regrets about your program except of implementing some stricter policy to control various. Individuals who take the Livingston Hills Rehab place for granted without any consideration.
Requiring an extended stay in the rehabilitation unit in 2018, I was impressed with the exceptional physical therapy and occupational therapy support offered at Livingston Hills. Each professional facilitated my measurable progress, despite the challenging odds of my recovery. Throughout the protracted duration of my stay, I found that the nursing staff is among the best anywhere– in addition to the demanding routines of their shifts, they each took the unhurried time to listen and respond to me compassionately, affording me optimal care. Each of the aides afforded me full personal care and comfort, along with enjoyable and memorable interpersonal connections. My medical challenges were attended to by way of specialist caregivers both within the facility and via prearranged transport to my own providers. The foundation for optimal recovery was well established to make it possible for me to return to my own home. When I began outpatient rehab services, I learned from those specialists that the gains I made while in the Livingston Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center were astounding, compared to outcomes they had observed elsewhere. I’m hoping never again to be in need of rehab services, but if I do, I’d select Livingston Hills.
Dear Mr. Roberts.
I was a recent patient at your wonderful facility and wish to express my sincere thanks for the care I received. I came to Livingston Hills after a stay in North Dutchess Hospital, being treated for pneumonia. Needless to say, I was in terrible shape when I came to Livingston Hills.
The attention I received from your staff, particularly from the nursing staff on the east wing and the physical therapy department, helped me to achieve a full recovery. The nursing staff really tried to anticipate my needs and were always seeking to make me as comfortable as possible. The assistants on the east wing were just as helpful. Throughout my stay I felt taken care of. None of this would have been possible without the assistance of the nurse’s aides.
As for the physical therapy department, every day they challenged me to work hard to improve my physical condition. During my stay, each one of the therapists engaged me in some activity which kept me focused. It seemed everyone there thoroughly enjoyed their work, and they never ran out of new ideas to keep the therapy interesting. I also learned much more about how my lungs functioned and how the exercises helped me to get better. I can really attest to the fact that I feel very strong compared to when I first came there.
In addition, this was the first time I had the pleasure of observing each therapist at work with the patients. They always demonstrated patience and kept us focused on the tasks at hand. How hard must it be to keep a positive attitude under such conditions.
I was discharged on August 11 and have had the benefit of a few days to see if I could retain what I learned at Livingston Hills. I am happy to say that the things that I learned at Livingston Hills will stay with me for a very long time.
Please convey my deepest thanks to you and your staff. I am a better person having stayed at Livingston Hills. Thank you.
Respectfully yours, GOD Bless.
My care at Livingston Hills was great!! I got meals regularly. The nurses and CNA ‘s took very good care of me and I feel like my time there was good!! The overall atmosphere is of good health and great people!!
I love my job and being with my residents. The nursing home is close to where I live, and I know we are all in the same community. I feel like there is job security… and the health insurance is very important to me. I am a cancer survivor. I don’t know what I would have done without the support of the staff at Livingston Hills and the health insurance.
I enjoy the work I do. And what makes it great is that everyone really cares about the residents and everyone cares about each other. If I didn’t think that everyone cared about the residents as much as I did, I could not work here. My schedule is flexible and that is important to me… All that makes Livingston Hills a great place to work.
Livingston Hills is the proper place to heal from any physical injury. My experience was unique. I was admitted to this center with a broken pelvis and in three months my pelvis healed completely. I came back home without a wheelchair, a walker, or crutches. I drive and walk very well. Of course I am getting physical therapy just once a week, because the healing process since day number on at Livingston Hills was very effective. Thank you to the Livingston Hills Reahabilitaion Center for having done such a tremendous job. I recommend this place to any patient who needs to rehabilitate from any physical injury. The social worker at the Albany Medical Hospital was right. “ Don’t miss this opportunity to get admitted at the Livingston Hilks Rehab. It is the best place to heal.” Definitely, She was correct. It was a tremendous healing place for me.
I have worked at Livingston Hills Nursing & Rehab Center for two years. I started out as a unit assistant, was promoted to medical records/unit secretary for the rehab unit, and was then promoted to nursing secretary and staffing coordinator where I spent a majority of my time working. Just recently I changed jobs to better the needs of the facility and myself and have opened up another opportunity for myself to grow within. Despite the fact that I always said I would never work in a nursing home, I couldn’t have made a better job choice!!!
Thanks Livingston Hills!
